Dr. Sara Silver, Senior Research Associate

Sara Silver holds a Ph.D. in Special Education and Cognitive Psychology.  Sara has worked as an Assistant Professor in Special Education at Russell Sage College, has held numerous adjunct professorships at SUNY colleges, and is NYS certified in Special Education and in School Administration.  She has published articles in peer review journals on the topics of transition services and special and vocational education.

At MAGI, she directs evaluation projects in comprehensive school reform (New  Brunswick Schools and Poughkeepsie Middle School), professional development (Teaching American History projects and Mathematics/Science Partnership projects), dropout prevention (Destination: Graduation), health literacy (Health Literacy Initiative), early intervention (Westchester County’s Early Intervention Trend Study), and career/technical education (NYS’ Career and Technical Education Policy Initiative).  She also provides evaluation technical assistance to school districts statewide on best practices programs through the auspices of the Sharing Success Technical Assistance Center.
